Patrick, over at Living Dangerously Group on Facebook, challenged me today to stay hungry.He reminded me that it's been said that God does not come to us as food but as hunger. He also encouraged me to ponder the words of C.S.Lewis that "this hunger is better than any other fullness; this poverty better than all other wealth."
In my life I've only caught brief glimpses of this hunger. I've only experienced poverty of self for short bursts of time interlaced with periods of self seeking. But what I've experienced in those brief interludes leaves me wanting more.
What do you long for?
