When Jesus stood up in the temple and proclaimed the beginning of His earthly ministry (Luke 4:17-19) He read from Isaiah and let the world know that He was here to proclaim good news to the poor, freedom to the prisoners, recovery of sight to the blind, and to set the oppressed free. While He was engaged in His earthly ministry He sent His disciples out to do similar work (Matthew 10:5-15). Before He left his disciples and ascended up into heaven (Matthew 18:18-20) He commissioned them to go make more disciples.
Over at Kingdom Bloggers this week we are each sharing about what this process has looked like in our lives; how we've participated in this work of Christ's. An experience we've had in sharing His love.
What about you, what's an experience you've had recently in sharing Christ's love?

Sharing love recently?
I have not kicked anybody this week.
I have not hit anybody this week.
I have not stolen anything from anybody this week.
I have not yelled at my wife even once this week.
I have stayed out of the way and let other people do their own thing this week.
How much more loving can I be than that!

2 days ago I stopped (traffic stop)a 23 year old girl named Rebecca who is a heroin user. After sifting through her lies, she began to "break down" on me and open up about the truth.
While she was seated in my patrol car I asked her a few questions, starting with, "Do you have any male influences in your life?"
"No", was her reply.
"Does any man love you other than for sex?"
"I hope so, but I don't know."
"I know who loves you, Rebecca. It may sound cliche to you, but Jesus loves you. God loves you."
The conversation went much further and much deeper. She was relieved that my motive was to share the love of God with her, and she graciously accepted the small bible I offered her.
It's always a delight in my line of work to see that one person here and there that actually desires change. And in my line of work, I meet a lot of people who are in the dumpsters of life and are looking for a way out, for someone to truly love them. That is none other than Christ!
John... I found your comment most humorous...
Tracy... How are ya? I've missed seeing you around!
Mike nice job...Yep, I believe that qualifies "Sharing the Love"
Thanks Duane, I've been over the top challenged with situations in life; am sure grateful that I can rest in the fact that God knows what He's doing.
John - I always adore what you have to say because it's real. I read what you wrote to my husband John and he laughed and said he agrees that you can't get more loving than that!
Mike - My heart rejoices to know that there's officers like you out there. Truly a light in the darkness.
