Lately I've been struggling.
So I'd asked John if he could recommend a good read; something that might be of help to me. He actually gave me a stack of books from which to choose. One of which was a super simple devotional entitled Silent Strength for my Life written by Lloyd John Ogilvie.
This morning's texts were Philippians 4:6-7 and Psalm 91:1-2. Ogilvie made this comment that really caught my attention:
"There's a secret place in all of us and there's a secret place of the Most High. When the two meet, profound prayer takes place."
I'd be interested in your thoughts, what do you think that means? What have you experienced with regard to this?

Great word for the day. When the two meet it's prayer time.
When we truly seek the Lord with all of our hearts, He promised that we will find Him. When we find a place, away from any distractions, through His Word, He will speak into our hearts. I believe when we soak ourselves in His Word, the Spirit ministers and talk about things of God.
Happy Mother's Day sister Tracy. Still battling at work sometimes, it's not easy for me to visit friends. But none of you are forgotten. God bless.
Hi Tracy,
In response to your question, I believe on two different levels.
On one hand, the intellectual reasons for trust in Christ day to day ring true to me.
On the other hand, only a few times in my life have I felt in contact with the Numinous, times when I have dimly perceived the majesty of God. These rare encounters underpin the brain reasons for my faith.

I'm going a little less philosophical than usual for me and more pragmatic with my response Tracy.
I believe firmly in the 'prayer closet' as conceptional for a secret place we all need. A place where all the things of the world can be blocked out and we focus on seeking the face of our Father. A place where family, friends, associates and others can't and won't tread and can be removed from our thoughts unless being lifted up in prayer. A place that takes effort and patience to find and maintain.
I believe He meets with each of us in our respective secret place when we are sincere about meeting with Him.
Sounds like a great book.
