Fruit in your life
This week at Kingdom Bloggers we're talking about faith, works, and the fruit of the spirit. Today my post is about how fruit in our lives is a result of relationship. I'm interested in finding out, what are some of the ways God has worked in your life to make you fruitful?
Spread of modern civilization, if there is a cause of health and wealth you have you are willing to try it? Welcome to Learn: http://sn.im/vemma_usa Thank you for your time reading, do not give up the chance to even know, know no loss to you!
Does having a sense of humor count as a gift of the Spirit? I know it's not on the list of gifts; but all the same ...
I tend to use my sense of humor to deflate tense situations, or in my writings to encourage people to read what I say (e.g. in my Blog) and then perhaps, through my writing they get to know God.
Which leads me to another thought. Does God have a sense of humor?
They say He created us in His image. I have a sense of humor ... so He'd better have one too ... or else I'm doomed !!!!
In my career field, I have a lot of opportunity to share the gospel with the down-trodden.
I was thinking the other day, "I wonder if I'll ever know who I influenced, or if I've influenced anyone at all. I wonder if God will reveal it."
Then I thought: "Maybe it doesn't matter", since the question I was asking myself was more about me than about God. If God chooses not to reveal to me my worldly evangelistic successes, I wonder if my pride would be the main reason for not doing so.
Nevertheless, I digress. That said, I would say I have been more strengthened over the years to personally share and defend the gospel, when in years past I would not have.
Victor, it would definitely seem that God has a sense of humor. I sure appreciate humor and agree with you that it can deflate tense situations and make difficult ones more tolerable.
Mike, it's cool to read that God's given you a passion to share the gospel. Interesting thoughts about if we'll ever know who we've influenced. I get what you mean about how, in one way it doesn't matter because it's not about us, it's about God.
I'm just grateful to God for His goodness to me and want to live my life following after Him. I've been blessed with 3 awesome sons and in July of 2005 I remarried. My husband truly knows me and still loves me - how much more blessed could I be!
I'll never forget the trouble, the utter lostness, the taste of ashes, the poison I've swallowed. I remember it all—oh, how well I remember— the feeling of hitting the bottom. But there's one other thing I remember, and remembering, I keep a grip on hope: God's loyal love couldn't have run out, his merciful love couldn't have dried up. They're created new every morning. How great your faithfulness!
I'm sticking with God (I say it over and over). He's all I've got left. God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It's a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God. It's a good thing when you're young to stick it out through the hard times. When life is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence. Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions: Wait for hope to appear. Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face. The "worst" is never the worst.
Psalm 16:11
You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Philippians 4: 4-5: Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!
Proverbs 15:7-9
Perceptive words spread knowledge; fools are hollow—there's nothing to them. GOD can't stand pious poses, but he delights in genuine prayers. A life frittered away disgusts GOD; he loves those who run straight for the finish line.
Phillipians 1:9-10
So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover's life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.
